FAQs

It teaches that worshipping Śiva (Maheśvara) specifically in the month of Kārtika is considered exceptionally meritorious—described as a hundred times the merit of the Aśvamedha.

The Aśvamedha is a renowned Vedic royal sacrifice symbolizing immense religious merit; the comparison highlights that accessible devotional worship in Kārtika is extolled as surpassing even grand ritual acts.

It implies that sincere devotion and timely sacred observance (worship in Kārtika) can be spiritually potent, emphasizing inner piety over costly or elite ritual performance.
