Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Sandhi Resolution Notes: वृत्तांतमस्माकं → वृत्तान्तम् + अस्माकम्; भक्षयन्क्रीडया → भक्षयन् + क्रीडया.
The speakers are the Kirātas, addressing a brāhmaṇa and introducing a narrative about their child Pṛthuka.
It asks the brāhmaṇa to listen to their account: their child Pṛthuka would daily roam about playfully while eating jambu fruits and other fruits.
It sets a narrative tone focused on ordinary conduct and its consequences—beginning with an innocent description of a child’s daily habits before the story develops.
