यज्ञोपवीती निर्वर्त्य ततः पर्युक्षणादिकम् प्राचीनावीतिना कार्यम् अतः सर्वं विजानता //

Transliteration

yajñopavītī nirvartya tataḥ paryukṣaṇādikam prācīnāvītinā kāryam ataḥ sarvaṃ vijānatā //

Translation

ਯਜ੍ਞੋਪਵੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਜ੍ਞੋਪਵੀਤੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਕੇ, ਫਿਰ ਪਰ੍ਯੁਕ੍ਸ਼ਣ ਆਦਿ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇ; ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨਾਵੀਤ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨ ਯੋਗ ਹਨ—ਇਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ।
