Adhyaya 61The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat

ब्राह्मण उवाच न भोगार्थाय विप्राणां शस्यते हि वरूथिनि ।

इह क्लेशाय विप्राणां चेष्टा प्रेत्याफलप्रदा ॥

brāhmaṇa uvāca na bhogārthāya viprāṇāṃ śasyate hi varūthini | iha kleśāya viprāṇāṃ ceṣṭā pretyā-phalapradā ||

ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਹੇ ਵਰੂਥਿਨੀ, ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੋਗ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਨੀਯ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
