Adhyaya 61 — The Second Manvantara Begins: The Brahmin’s Swift Journey and Varuthini’s Temptation on Himavat
वरूथिन्युवाच किं ते नाहं प्रिया विप्र ! रमणीयो न किं गिरिः ।
गन्धर्वान् किन्नरादींश्च त्यक्त्वाभीष्टो हि कस्तव ॥
varūthinī uvāca kiṃ te nāhaṃ priyā vipra ramaṇīyo na kiṃ giriḥ | gandharvān kinnarādīṃś ca tyaktvā abhīṣṭo hi kas tava ||
ਵਰੂਥਿਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ? ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ? ਕੀ ਇਹ ਪਹਾੜ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ? ਗੰਧਰਵ, ਕਿੰਨਰ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
