Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)
उदयास्तमने भानोः शयनञ्च विवर्जयेत् ।
नास्नातो नैव संविष्टो न चैवान्यमना नरः ॥
udayāstamane bhānoḥ śayanañ ca vivarjayet | nāsnāto naiva saṃviṣṭo na caivānyamanā naraḥ ||
ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਡੁੱਬਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਲੇਟਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਬੈਠੇ; ਨਾ ਗਲਤ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਭਟਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਖਾਏ।
