अध्याय ५०: उत्तरेण सह अर्जुनस्य रथप्रयाणे ध्वजचिह्नैः कौरवसेनानिर्देशः
Arjuna directs Uttara by identifying Kaurava commanders through banners
तथाधिगगम्य वित्तानि को विकत्थेद् विचक्षण: । निकृत्या वज्चनायोगैश्वरन् वैतंसिको यथा
tathādhigamya vittāni ko vikatthhed vicakṣaṇaḥ | nikṛtyā vañcanāyogaiś caran vaitamsiko yathā ||
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧੋਖੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਸੂਝਵਾਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸ਼ੇਖ਼ੀ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ? ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇੱਕ ਪੰਛੀ-ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਠੱਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਛਲ-ਕਪਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੁਗਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਧੋਖੇਬਾਜ਼ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਧਨ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ?
