Vidura’s Recall from Kāmyaka-vana and Reconciliation with Dhṛtarāṣṭra (विदुरानयनम् / क्षमायाचनम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत अरण्यपर्वमें विदुरप्रत्यागयमनविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,विषमुद्धन्धनं चैव शस्त्रमग्निप्रवेशनम् । करिष्ये न हि तानृद्धान् पुनर्द्रष्टमिहोत्सहे “मैं जहर खा लूँगा, फाँसी लगा लूँगा, अपने-आपको ही शस्त्रसे मार दूँगा अथवा जलती आगममें प्रवेश कर जाऊँगा; परंतु पाण्डवोंको फिर बढ़ते या फलते-फूलते नहीं देख सकूँगा”
viṣam uddhāraṇaṁ caiva śastram agni-praveśanam | kariṣye na hi tān ṛddhān punar draṣṭum ihotsahe ||
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਹਾਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵਨਪਰਵ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਰਣ੍ਯਪਰਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦੁਰ-ਪ੍ਰਤਿਆਗਮਨ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਛੇਵਾਂ ਅਧਿਆਇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ। “ਮੈਂ ਵਿਸ਼ ਪੀ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਾਂ ਫਾਹਾ ਲੈ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਾਂ ਧਧਕਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ; ਪਰ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਇੱਥੇ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧ ਤੇ ਫਲਦੇ-ਫੂਲਦੇ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਮੈਂ ਸਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।”
