त्रासयन् सर्वभूतानि महासत्त्वपराक्रम: वे कहीं दौड़ते, कहीं खड़े होते और कहीं बैठते हुए शिकार पानेकी अभिलाषासे उस महाभयंकर वनमें निर्भय विचरते रहते थे। वे नरश्रेष्ठ महाबली भीम उस वनमें वनचर भीलोंकी भाँति पैदल ही चलते थे, उनका साहस और पराक्रम महान् था। वे गहन वनमें प्रवेश करके समस्त प्राणियोंको डराते हुए अद्भुत गर्जना करते थे

ਮਹਾਨ ਸੱਤਵ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਬਲੀ ਭੀਮ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਭਿਆਨਕ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਫਿਰਦਾ—ਕਦੇ ਦੌੜਦਾ, ਕਦੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਦਾ, ਕਦੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਘਣੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਦਭੁਤ, ਘੋਰ ਗੱਜਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ; ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੰਗਲ-ਵਾਸੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀ ਪੈਦਲ ਹੀ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
