नारदेन गरुडात्मजानां नामकीर्तनम् | Nārada’s Enumeration of Garuḍa’s Descendants

अन्यत्र साधु गच्छाव द्रष्ठ नाहामि दानवान् । जानामि तव चात्मानं हिंसात्मकमनं तथा
Transliteration
anyatra sādhu gacchāva draṣṭuṃ nāham iha dānavān | jānāmi tava cātmānaṃ hiṃsātmakam manaṃ tathā ||
Translation
ਨਾਰਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਤੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਨਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ—ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਹਿੰਸਕ ਹੈ; ਨੁਕਸਾਨਦਾਇਕ ਕਰਮ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਯੁੱਧ, ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
