Bhīṣma’s Appraisal of Pāṇḍava-Alliance Warriors (Śikhaṇḍin, Dhṛṣṭadyumna, and Allied Kings)
चरितव्रद्याचर्याश्व सर्वे तात तपस्विन: । ह्वीमन्त: पुरुषव्याप्रा व्याप्रा इव बलोत्कटा:
caritavrata-brahmacaryāś ca sarve tāta tapassvinaḥ | hrīmantaḥ puruṣavyāghrā vyāghrā iva balotkaṭāḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਤਾਤ! ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਚਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਪੱਸਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਡੋਲ ਹਨ; ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਚਰਯ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਲੱਜਾ-ਸੰਯਮੀ, ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਿਆਘਰ ਉਹ ਪਾਂਡਵ ਬਿਆਘਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਗਰ ਬਲ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
