उद्योगपर्व (अध्याय १२९) — केशवस्य वैभवप्रदर्शनम् / Krishna’s Theophanic Display in the Kuru Assembly

ग्रहीतुकामो विक्रम्य सर्वयत्नेन माधवम्‌ । ग्रहीतुं नाशकच्चैन त॑ त्वं प्रार्थथसे बलात्‌,वह पराक्रम करके सभी उपायोंसे श्रीकृष्णको पकड़ना चाहता था, परंतु इन्हें कभी पकड़ न सका। उन्हीं श्रीकृष्णको तुम बलपूर्वक अपने वशमें करना चाहते हो!

grahītukāmo vikramya sarvayatnena mādhavam | grahītuṃ nāśakac cainaṃ taṃ tvaṃ prārthathase balāt ||

ਉਹ ਪਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਤਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਧਵ (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ) ਨੂੰ ਫੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ!

In the tense lead-up to war, Vidura rebukes the idea of forcibly controlling or arresting Kṛṣṇa. He points out that even a powerful aggressor who tried with all efforts failed to seize Kṛṣṇa, so attempting to overpower Him now is both futile and morally misguided.
