Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda
अश्वनागरथैश्वैव संच्छिन्नै: कृतसंक्रमा । पताकाध्वजवानीरा हतवारणवाहिनी
aśvanāgarathaiś caiva saṃchinnaiḥ kṛtasaṅkramā | patākādhvajavānīrā hatavāraṇavāhinī ||
ਅੰਬਰੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਘੋੜੇ, ਹਾਥੀ ਅਤੇ ਰਥ ਟੁੱਟ-ਫੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਕੱਟੇ ਗਏ; ਫੌਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਈਆਂ ਪਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਤਾਰਾਂ ਭੰਗ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ। ਝੰਡੇ ਤੇ ਧਵਜ ਬੇਤਰਤੀਬ ਪਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਜ-ਦਲ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ।
