Vāmadeva’s Counsel on Rooted Kingship and Non-violent Victory (वामदेवोपदेशः—दृढमूलराजधर्मः)
यस्य स्फीतो जनपद: सम्पन्न: प्रिययाजक: । संतुष्टपुष्टसचिवो दृढमूल: स पार्थिव:
yasya sphīto janapadaḥ sampannaḥ priyayājakaḥ | santuṣṭa-puṣṭa-sacivo dṛḍha-mūlaḥ sa pārthivaḥ ||
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਪਦ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਹੋਵੇ, ਧਨ-ਧਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੋ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਜ्ञ ਆਦਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਤਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸੁਕ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣ—ਉਹੀ ਪਾਰਥਿਵ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹਮੂਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
