Treasury Security, Protection of Informants, and the Kalakavṛkṣīya Exemplum (Śānti Parva 83)
राजोवाच भूयसा परिहारेण सत्कारेण च भूयसा । पूजितो ब्राह्मणश्रेष्ठ भूयो वस गृहे मम
rājovāca bhūyasā parihāreṇa satkāreṇa ca bhūyasā | pūjito brāhmaṇaśreṣṭha bhūyo vasa gṛhe mama ||
ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— “ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ-ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੀਕ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਧੀਕ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਧੀਵਤ ਪੂਜਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਫਿਰ—ਹਾਂ, ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ—ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ।”
