Transliteration

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: yayā vṛttyā mahīpālo vivardhayati mānavān | puṇyāṁś ca lokān jayati tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||

Translation

ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਪਿਤਾਮਹ! ਉਹ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਦਾ-ਪੋਸਦਾ ਤੇ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਮਾਰਗ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ।
