राजा-दैवतत्वम् — The King as a Stabilizing ‘Daivata’ (Divine Function) in Social Order
तस्य दृष्टवा महत्त्वं ते महेन्द्रस्येव देवता: । अपतत्रसिरे सर्वे स्वधर्मे च ददुर्मन:
tasya dṛṣṭvā mahattvaṃ te mahendrasyeva devatāḥ | apatatrāsire sarve svadharme ca dadur manaḥ ||
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਮਹੇਂਦ੍ਰ ਇੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਚੰਭਿਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸਭ ਲੋਕ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਮਨੂ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਭੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨ ਜੋੜ ਲਿਆ।
