राज्ञोऽभिषेकः, अराजकदोषः, दण्डधारणस्य आवश्यकता

यत्तु लिड्रान्तरगतं पृच्छसे मां युधिष्ठिर । धर्म धर्मभृतां श्रेष्ठ त॒त्निबोध नराधिप
bhīṣma uvāca | yattu liṅgāntaragataṃ pṛcchase māṃ yudhiṣṭhira | dharma dharmabhṛtāṃ śreṣṭha tan nibodha narādhipa ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ! ਜੋ ਸੁਖਮ ਧਰਮ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਹਾਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਧਰਮ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ, ਹੇ ਨਰਾਧਿਪ! ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝ।
