एतदाचरष्ट मे राजन् देवर्षिनारद: पुरा । व्यासश्वैव महायोगी संजल्पेषु पदे पदे
etad ācarat me rājan devarṣi-nāradaḥ purā | vyāsaś caiva mahāyogī sañjalpeṣu pade pade ||
ਹੇ ਰਾਜਨ! ਇਹ ਵ੍ਰਿਤਾਂਤ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇਵਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਰਦ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਯੋਗੀ ਵਿਆਸ ਵੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦਮ ਕਦਮ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
