Aging and Death Cannot Be Overstepped
कि मया कृतमेतावद् यो5हं कालमिमं जनम् | मत्स्यो जाल ह्ुविज्ञानादनुवर्तितवानिह
kiṁ mayā kṛtam etāvad yo ’haṁ kālam imaṁ janam | matsyo jāla-hv-ajñānād anuvartitavān iha ||
‘ਹਾਇ! ਮੈਂ ਇੰਨਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ? ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਦੇਹ-ਭਾਵ—ਇਸ “ਜਨ” ਦਾ—ਹੀ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇਹ-ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ।’
