आत्मदर्शन-उपदेशः (Ātma-darśana Upadeśa) — Mind, Senses, and the All-pervading Self
पित्र्ये राग्यहनी मास: प्रविभागस्तयो: पुनः । शुक्लो5ह: कर्मचेष्टायां कृष्ण: स्पप्नाय शर्वरी
pitrye rātryahani māsaḥ pravibhāgas tayoḥ punaḥ | śuklo 'haḥ karmaceṣṭāyāṃ kṛṣṇaḥ svapnāya śarvarī ||
ਵਿਆਸ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ—ਪਿਤ੍ਰ ਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ। ਉੱਥੇ ਸ਼ੁਕਲ ਪੱਖ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ—ਕਰਮ-ਚੇਸ਼ਟਾ ਲਈ; ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪੱਖ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਹੈ—ਆਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਲਈ।
