ततः पश्यन्त्यसम्बुद्धया वातपित्तकफोत्तरान्‌ | रजस्तमोगतैभविस्तदप्याहुर्दुरत्ययम्‌

Transliteration

tataḥ paśyanty asambuddhayā vātapittakaphottarān | rajastamogatāir bhāvais tad apy āhur duratyayam ||

Translation

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੱਚੀ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਦੇਹਧਾਰੀ ਰੂਪ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਤ, ਪਿੱਤ ਜਾਂ ਕਫ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮ, ਮੋਹ ਆਦਿ ਰਜਸ-ਤਮਸ ਜਨਿਤ ਭਾਵ ਵਿਆਪੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੱਤਵ-ਗਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਉਸ ਸੁਪਨ-ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਕਰ ਹੈ—ਇਹ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
