धन-यज्ञ-दानविवेकः
Wealth, Sacrifice, and Disciplined Giving
कृच्छाच्च द्रव्यसंहारं कुर्वन्ति धनकारणात् । धनेन तृषितो<बुद्धया भ्रूणहत्यां न बुद्धयते
kṛcchāc ca dravyasaṃhāraṃ kurvanti dhanakāraṇāt | dhanena tṛṣito 'buddhyā bhrūṇahatyāṃ na buddhyate ||
ਧਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਧਨ-ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਤਪਿਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਵਿਵੇਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਭ੍ਰੂਣ-ਹੱਤਿਆ ਵਰਗੇ ਮਹਾਪਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਫਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
