Adhyāya 199: Karma–Jñāna Causality and the Nirguṇa Brahman
Manu’s Instruction
सत्य॑ वेदेषु जागार्ति फलं सत्ये परं स्मृतम् । सत्याद् धर्मो दमश्चैव सर्व सत्ये प्रतेष्ठितम्
satyaṁ vedeṣu jāgarti phalaṁ satye paraṁ smṛtam | satyād dharmo damaś caiva sarvaṁ satye pratiṣṭhitam ||
ਵੇਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਗਦਾ ਹੈ—ਉਥੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਹੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਫਲ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ-ਸੰਯਮ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸੱਚ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
