Adhyāya 193: Adjudication of the Comparable Fruits of Japa and Yoga
कृतस्य तु फल तत्र प्रत्यक्षमुपल भ्यते । पानासनाशनोपेता: प्रासादभवनाश्रया:
kṛtasya tu phalaṃ tatra pratyakṣam upalabhyate | pānāsanāśanopetāḥ prāsādabhavanāśrayāḥ |
ਭਰਦਵਾਜ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਉਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੱਖ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚੇ ਮਹਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਚੰਗੇ ਆਸਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਭੋਜਨ-ਪਾਨ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਭ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੰਨ, ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਗਹਿਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਊਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਧਾਰਣ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਹੀ ਅੰਨ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਤਪਸਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਭਾਉ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਵਰਣਿਤ ਹੈ।
