/ ऑपन-माज बछ। -ज:डि द्विषष्ट्याधिकशततमो< ध्याय: सत्यके लक्षण
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | satyaṃ dharmaṃ praśaṃsanti viprarṣipitṛdevatāḥ | satyam icchāmy ahaṃ śrotuṃ tan me brūhi pitāmaha ||
ਯੁਧਿਸ਼ਠਿਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਪਿਤਾਮਹ! ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ, ਰਿਸ਼ੀ-ਮੁਨੀ, ਪਿਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸੱਚ-ਬੋਲਣ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮ-ਰੂਪ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ‘ਸੱਚ’ ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਹੈ—ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ।
