Tapas as the Root of Attainment (तपः—साधनमूलप्रशंसा)
कृपा : कर ् न फ सदैव शकुनास्तात मृगाश्चाथ तथा गजा: । वसन्ति तव संहृष्टा मनोहर मनोहरा:
kṛpāḥ karṇaphāḥ sadaiva śakunās tāta mṛgāś cātha tathā gajāḥ | vasanti tava saṁhṛṣṭā manohara manoharāḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਬੋਲੇ—ਤਾਤ, ਮਨੋਹਰ ਵ੍ਰਿੱਖਰਾਜ! ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਟਾਹਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੰਛੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ; ਅਤੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਮਿਰਗ ਤੇ ਗਜ ਵੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਨਿਧ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
