Protection of the Refuge-Seeker: Opening of the Kapota Narrative
यथावदुक्त वचन हितार्थिना निशम्य विप्रेण सुवीरराष्ट्रप: तथाकरोदू् वाक्यमदीनचेतन: श्रियं च दीप्तां बुभुजे सबान्धव:
yathāvad ukta-vacanaṁ hitārthinā niśamya vipreṇa su-vīra-rāṣṭrapaḥ | tathākarod vākyaṁ adīna-cetanaḥ śriyaṁ ca dīptāṁ bubhuje sa-bāndhavaḥ ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹਿਤ ਚਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦੀ ਯਥਾਵਤ ਕਹੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਵੀਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਡੋਲ ਤੇ ਅਨਮਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਏ ਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਗੇ-ਸੰਬੰਧੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਸਮ੍ਰਿੱਧੀ ਦਾ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
