तस्मै विनिश्चितार्थाय परिपृष्टो<र्थनिश्चयम्‌ । उवाच ब्राह्मणो वाक्यमिदं हेतुमदुत्तमम्‌

Transliteration

tasmai viniścitārthāya paripṛṣṭo ’rthanścayam | uvāca brāhmaṇo vākyam idaṃ hetumad uttamam ||

Translation

ਜਿਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੱਕੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕਰਤਵ੍ਯ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਤਦ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੇ ਤਰਕ-ਭਰਪੂਰ, ਉੱਤਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਣਾਇਕ ਬਚਨ ਕਹੇ।
