Protection of the Refuge-Seeker: Opening of the Kapota Narrative
नविश्वसेदविश्वस्ते विश्वस्ते नातिविश्वसेत् विश्वासाद् भयमभ्येति नापरीक्ष्य च विश्वसेद्
na viśvased aviśvaste viśvaste nātiviśvaset | viśvāsād bhayam abhyeti nāparīkṣya ca viśvaset ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜੋ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ; ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਭਰੋਸੇਯੋਗ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਅਤਿ-ਭਰੋਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਖੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
