Protection of the Refuge-Seeker: Opening of the Kapota Narrative

भीष्म उवाच अत्र ते वर्तयिष्यामि नीतिमापत्सु भारत । उत्सृज्यापि घृणां काले यथा वर्तेत भूमिप:

bhīṣma uvāca | atra te vartayiṣyāmi nītim āpatsu bhārata | utsṛjyāpi ghṛṇāṃ kāle yathā varteta bhūmipaḥ ||

ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਹੇ ਭਾਰਤ! ਆਫ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਪਣਾਈ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਨੀਤੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ—ਜਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਦਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ, ਸਮੇਂ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤੇ।
