आपद्धर्मनिर्णयः — विश्वामित्र-श्वपचसंवादः
Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
बुद्धया त्वमुशना साक्षाद् बलेनाधिकृता वयम् । त्वं मन्त्रबलयुक्तो हि दत्त्वा जीवितमद्य मे
buddhayā tvam uśanā sākṣād balenādhikṛtā vayam | tvaṁ mantrabalayukto hi dattvā jīvitam adya me ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ਾਤ ਉਸ਼ਨਾ (ਸ਼ੁਕ੍ਰਾਚਾਰਯ) ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਭ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ। ਤੂੰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ-ਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਤੀ-ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਯੁਕਤ ਹੈਂ; ਅੱਜ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ-ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
