स ततो ब्राह्मुणो भूत्वा प्रहादं पाकशासन: । गत्वा प्रोवाच मेधावी श्रेय इच्छामि वेदितुम्‌

sa tato brāhmaṇo bhūtvā prahrādaṁ pākaśāsanaḥ | gatvā provāca medhāvī śreya icchāmi veditum ||

ਫਿਰ ਪਾਕਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਇੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਦਾ ਵੇਸ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਮেধਾਵੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ—“ਰਾਜਨ! ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਯ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜੋ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹਿਤਕਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜਾਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”
