यथा क्रमेण पुष्पेभ्यक्षिनोति मधु षघट्पद: । तथा द्रव्यमुपादाय राजा कुर्वीत संचयम्
yathā krameṇa puṣpebhyaḥ kṣinoti madhu ṣaṭpadaḥ | tathā dravyam upādāya rājā kurvīta sañcayam ||
ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਖੀ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ-ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਸ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਜੋੜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੀ ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਜਾ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ-ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਧਨ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੇ।
