प्रजानाथ! श्रीकृष्णके मुखसे यह आक्षेपयुक्त वचन सुन राजा दुर्योधन अमर्षके वशीभूत होकर उठा और दोनों हाथ पृथ्वीपर टेककर चूतड़के सहारे बैठ गया ।। दृष्टिं भ्रूसडुकटां कृत्वा वासुदेवे न्‍न्यपातयत्‌ | अर्धोन्नतशरीरस्य रूपमासीन्नूपस्य तु

prajānātha! śrīkṛṣṇake mukhase yaḥ ākṣepayuktaṃ vacanaṃ śrutvā rājā duryodhana amārṣavaśībhūtaḥ samuttiṣṭhat, ubhābhyāṃ hastābhyāṃ pṛthivīṃ tekitvā cūtṛḍa-sahāyena upāviśat. dṛṣṭiṃ bhrūsaṅkuṭāṃ kṛtvā vāsudeve nyapātayat; ardhonnataśarīrasya rūpam āsīt nṛpasya tu.

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਨਾਥ! ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਇਹ ਆਖੇਪ-ਭਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਅਸਹਿਣਯ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਵਸ਼ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉੱਠਿਆ; ਫਿਰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਹੱਥ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਟੇਕ ਕੇ ਨਿਤੰਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ ਮੁੜ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਭੌਂਹਾਂ ਸਿਕੋੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਵੱਲ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਗਾੜ੍ਹੀ; ਰਾਜੇ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਅੱਧਾ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ।
