The Fall of Duryodhana and the Contest of Restraint
पुनरावर्तमानानां भग्नानां जीवितैषिणाम् । भेतव्यमरिशेषाणामेकायनगता हिते
punarāvartamānānāṁ bhagnānāṁ jīvitaiṣiṇām | bhetavyam ariśeṣāṇām ekāyanagatā hi te ||
ਵਾਯੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: “ਜੋ ਵੈਰੀ ਟੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ, ਪਰ ਫਿਰ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਵੱਲ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗਣ—ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ; ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕੋ ਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੱਕੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦੇ।”
