Vasiṣṭhāpavāha: Sarasvatī’s Diversion and Viśvāmitra’s Curse (वसिष्ठापवाहः)
तेन ते हूयमानस्य राष्ट्रस्यास्य क्षयो महान् । तस्यैतत् तपस: कर्म येन तेडद्य लयो महान्
tena te hūyamānasya rāṣṭrasyāsya kṣayo mahān | tasyaitat tapasaḥ karma yena te 'dya layo mahān, krodhena mahatāviṣṭo dharmātmā vai pratāpavān |
ਵੈਸ਼ੰਪਾਯਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—“ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੀ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਹੁਤੀ ਬਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤਪ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਲਯ ਆਰੰਭ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮਹਾਨ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਆਵਿਸ਼ਟ ਉਹ ਧਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੀ ਤਪਸਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਪੋਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
