इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत सौप्तिकपर्वमें अश्वत्थामाकी मन्त्रणाविषयक चौथा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
muhūrtam api taṁ prājñaḥ paṇḍitaṁ paryupāsya hi | kṣipraṁ dharmān vijānāti jihvā sūparasān iva ||
ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਜ্ঞ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਵੇਕੀ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ—ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੀਭ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਪਛਾਣ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
