Proposal for a Renewed Dice Game
समुच्चरन्त्यतिवादाश्न वक्त्राद् यैराहत: शोचति रात्र्यहानि । परस्य नामर्मसु ते पतन्ति तान् पण्डितो नावसूजेत् परेषु
samuccaranty ativādāś ca vaktrād yair āhataḥ śocati rātryahāni | parasya nāmarmasu te patanti tān paṇḍito nāvasūjet pareṣu ||
ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਠੋਰ ਤੇ ਅਤਿਵਾਦੀ ਬਚਨ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਘਾਇਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਿਨ-ਰਾਤ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਰਮ-ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬੁੱਧਿਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਨਿਰਦਈ ਬੋਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਤਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।
