अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
प्रकर्षणाकर्षणा भ्यामनुकर्षविकर्षणै: । आचर्कर्षतुरन्योन्यं जानुभिश्वावजघ्नतु:
prakarṣaṇākarṣaṇābhyām anukarṣavikarṣaṇaiḥ | ācarakarṣatur anyonyaṃ jānubhiś cāvajaghnatuḥ ||
ਉਹ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਧੱਕਦੇ ਤੇ ਖਿੱਚਦੇ—ਵਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਖਿੱਚਾਤਾਣ ਕਰਦੇ—ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਘੁੱਟਮੁੱਟ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁੱਥ ਗਏ। ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਰੋਚਾਂ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮ ਪੈ ਗਏ; ਫਿਰ ਇਕ-ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਕ ਕੇ ਘੁੱਟਣਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਤੇ ਰਗੜਦੇ ਰਹੇ—ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੀ ਤਪਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਯਮ ਭੁੱਲ ਕੇ।
