नश्यमानमहं युक्त मन्येयमिति मे मतिः । “रणभूमिमें तुम्हें पाकर सारा क्षत्रियसमाज एक दिनमें नष्ट हो सकता है, ऐसा कहना मैं युक्तिसंगत मानता हूँ। मेरी तो ऐसी ही धारणा है |। ५० ई ।।
naśyamānam ahaṁ yuktaṁ manyeyam iti me matiḥ | seyaṁ pārtha camūr ghorā dhārtarāṣṭrasya saṁyuge ||
“ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਖੱਤਰੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਇਕੋ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ—ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਮੈਂ ਯੁਕਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਮੇਰੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਧਾਰਣਾ ਹੈ।” ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ, ਹੇ ਪਾਰਥ, ਜੰਗ ਲਈ ਕਤਾਰਬੱਧ ਧ੍ਰਿਤਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਸੈਨਾ ਵੇਖ।
