Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 49: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament and Strategic Foreboding after Abhimanyu’s Fall
स्वर्गमेष गत: शूरो यो हतो न पराड्मुख: । संस्तम्भयत मा भैष्ट विजेष्यामो रणे रिपून्
svargam eṣa gataḥ śūro yo hato na parāṅmukhaḥ | saṃstambhayata mā bhaiṣṭa vijeṣyāmo raṇe ripūn ||
“ਇਹ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰ, ਜੋ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੱਠ ਨਾ ਵਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਹੀ ਸਵਰਗ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਧਾਰੋ; ਡਰੋ ਨਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਜਿੱਤਾਂਗੇ।”
