किमन्यद् राक्षसानन्यानस्मांश्व॒ परिभूय ह । “इतना ही नहीं, उन्होंने मेरा तथा दूसरे राक्षसोंका अपमान करके पूर्वकालमें राक्षसकन्या हिडिम्बाके साथ भी बलात्कार किया था। इससे बढ़कर दूसरा अपराध क्या हो सकता है?
kim anyad rākṣasān anyān asmāṁś ca paribhūya ha
ਸੰਜਯ ਬੋਲਿਆ—ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਾਖਸ਼ਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਾਖਸ਼ਸ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਹਿਡਿੰਬਾ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਬਲਪੂਰਵਕ ਬੇਇਜ਼ਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
