घोररूपं महाराज भीरूणां भयवर्धनम्‌ | यह देख द्रोणाचार्यकी सेनासे घिरे हुए राजा दुर्योधनने भी रणभूमिमें पाण्डवोंपर आक्रमण किया। महाराज! भी कायरोंका भय बढ़ानेवाला घोर युद्ध होने लगा

Transliteration

ghorarūpaṃ mahārāja bhīrūṇāṃ bhayavardhanam |

Translation

ਮਹਾਰਾਜ! ਡਰਪੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਘੋਰ ਲੜਾਈ ਉੱਠ ਖੜੀ ਹੋਈ। ਦ੍ਰੋਣਾਚਾਰਯ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੁਰਯੋਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਪਾਂਡਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਣਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ; ਤਦ ਯੁੱਧ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਗਿਆ।
