अथापरे जनपदा दक्षिणा भरतर्षभ | द्रविडा: केरला: प्राच्या भूषिका वनवासिका:
athāpare janapadā dakṣiṇā bharatarṣabha | draviḍāḥ keralāḥ prācyā bhūṣikā vanavāsikāḥ ||
ਸੰਜਯ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਹੇ ਭਰਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ! ਹੁਣ ਦੱਖਣ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਨਪਦ ਸੁਣੋ—ਦ੍ਰਵਿਡ, ਕੇਰਲ, ਪ੍ਰਾਚ੍ਯ, ਭੂਸ਼ਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਨਵਾਸਿਕ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਾਕਾਵਿ ਭਾਰਤ-ਭੂਮੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਵੰਸ਼ ਤੱਕ ਸੀਮਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
