अश्वमेधावसानम् — Dakṣiṇā-vibhāga and Avabhṛtha
Completion of the Aśvamedha
तच्छुत्वा तु वसुस्तेषामविचार्य बलाबलम् | यथोपनीतैर्यष्टव्यमिति प्रोवाच पार्थिव:
tac chrutvā tu vasus teṣām avicārya balābalam | yathopānītair yaṣṭavyam iti provāca pārthivaḥ ||
ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਵਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਲੀਲ ਦਾ ਬਲਾਬਲ ਸੋਚੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ—“ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਵੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ, ਉਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੱਗ ਕਰ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”
