Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
ते त॑ दृष्टवातिर्थि प्राप्तं प्रहष्टमनसो 5भन् । तेडभिवाद्य सुखप्रश्न॑ पृष्टया तमतिर्थिं तदा
te taṁ dṛṣṭvā atithiṁ prāptaṁ prahṛṣṭa-manaso 'bhavan | te 'bhivādya sukha-praśnaṁ pṛṣṭvā tam atithiṁ tadā ||
ਅਤਿਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਸੁਖ-ਸਲਾਮਤ ਪੁੱਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅਤਿਥੀ-ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ—ਆਪਣੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤਿਥੀ-ਧਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
