Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
यवप्रस्थं तु त॑ं सक्तूनकुर्वन्त तपस्विन: । कृतजप्याद्विकास्ते तु हुत्वा चाग्निंयथाविधि
yavaprasthaṃ tu taṃ saktūn akurvanta tapasvinaḥ | kṛtajapyādvikās te tu hutvā cāgniṃ yathāvidhi
ਨਕੁਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ— ਉਹ ਤਪਸਵੀ ਉਸ ਯਵਪ੍ਰਸਥ ਤੋਂ ਸਕਤੂ (ਸੱਤੂ) ਬਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ; ਅਤੇ ਜਪ ਆਦਿ ਨਿਯਤ ਕਰਮ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਵਿਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਹੁਤੀਆਂ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
