Marutta Seeks Saṃvarta’s Priestly Support; Conditions, Truth-Discipline, and Rival Powers

संवर्त उवाच आविक्षित शुभा बुद्धिर्वर्ततां तव कर्मसु । याजनं हि ममाप्येव वर्तते हृदि पार्थिव

Transliteration

Saṁvarta uvāca: āvikṣita śubhā buddhir vartatāṁ tava karmasu | yājanaṁ hi mamāpy eva vartate hṛdi pārthiva ||

Translation

ਸੰਵਰਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ—ਹੇ ਆਵਿਕਸ਼ਿਤ! ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਸਦਾ ਧਰਮਕਰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹੇ। ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਤੇਰਾ ਯੱਗ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ।
