वैशम्पायन उवाच
As a colophon, the verse chiefly signals closure and frames the preceding episode as dharmically significant: after catastrophic violence, the safeguarding and restoration of life—especially the heir Parīkṣit—represents the re-establishment of moral and dynastic continuity.
This is the chapter-ending formula stating that the sixty-ninth chapter of the Aśvamedhika Parva (within the Anugītā section) has concluded, specifically the portion dealing with Parīkṣit’s being restored to life.
